Bulls divided by bulls plus bears equals 57.6%. That's a contrarian indicator !!!

Duke, thanks for picking up the sentiment flag for this week. Looks like the correction finally got the bears' attention which augers well for an anticipated rally

(For future reference) Figures from Investor's Intelligence:

Bulls = 43.4%, Bears = 31.9%

Bulls/(Bulls + Bears) = 57.6%

4 Week Moving Average of Bulls/(Bulls + Bears) = 64.7%

Last Week:

Bulls = 50.0%, Bears = 27.6%

Bulls/(Bulls + Bears) = 64.4%

4 Week Moving Average of Bulls/(Bulls + Bears) = 67.4%

Best Regards.

Rillinois

P.S. There were a few comments last week citing how little the bullishness dropped even though the market tanked on Tuesday and Acampora called for a 15%-20% correction. Please remember that the Investor's Intelligence numbers only take into account newsletters as of the end of the previous week. Therefore, the markets action on Mondays and Tuesdays is not reflected in these numbers.

P.S.S. duke60, thanks for posting the numbers. Work has been keeping me busy lately, I wish I was on vacation...maybe in a few months. I've got a lot to post, but I haven't found the time to post it.
