So Janice, why don't you tell us where you got this information? Rumors? Probably heard it here on SI right? If someone wrote what you did about, but with a positive spin, you and your crew would expect disclosure of sources, etc...

It boils down to the imbalance of the legal system. For instance, let's say that someone posted that so-and-so said that MTEI had some acquisitions in the process that is believed to bring the valuation of MTEI to 300mm. The person also said that he heard this from John B. Source and that was acceptable. This turned out to be a false and the people on the thread would then label this person as a hypster and writes it off as that. On the other hand let's say a person reported that MTEI could not find any financing for the company and was being turned down. If a source is posted and it proves to be a false then the poster and the source could suffer legal actions from the company. Usually posters honor the sources request for confidence of the matter. That's why you see these clues posted. But you still refer to it as bashing. So far, the bashers have been pretty correct. Take it with a grain of salt though.

Cliff

Actually I agree with you about this. I only mentioned it to correct the impression that negotiations for this particular financing deal might be ongoing.
