The wholesale price of drugs are based in US$, that's why the currency effect is so minimal. Drug companies can raise prices on drugs if the local currency devaluates (but it's more difficult to raise prices on detergents etc., so Proctor & Gamble is more affected by the Asian flu'). Makes sense for pharmas to trade in such high valuations.
