Ok. How would you spend your money on rehab. I have seen road crews out cleaning , crews clearing brush, things like that, you know the type of work that is labor intensive, minimum wage. Is that the kind of rehab work? Or would you spend money to make them lawyers or geologists or white collar workers? Then would that take money away from scholarships from kids that deserved it? I have trouble with capital punishment too, but I wonder if it was more of a deterrant if it was carried out in fashion that would make it clear that you were not going to get to sit around for 15 years appealing to every court in the land. What would happen if a death sentence carried with it a 6 month execution time frame no exceptions. Then don't you think the juries handing them out would be very careful to do so? And what if a 15 year sentence meant 15 years. Period. No parole no time served etc etc. What if the law says three strikes your out?or in. (I know this could be abused because some enforcement people might manufacture offenses to get strike three on someone they dislike) But it might cure some from getting even a second strike. Many things to consider. My mind might completely change if someone attacked my family like Nancy's was attacked, or if someone killed my wife. That brings up something else? Drunk driver kills someone. 2nd degree manslaughter cause he is a man(or woman) of some import in the town where he lives? Not in my eyes. CAPITAL MURDER!! I sure found no absolutes in anything I wrote. Oh well, I will post it anyway. What do you think? dan
