Even better, I think that if they (CompUSA for example)
should position the iMac on the end of the Mac aisle facing
the PC aisle and have it running Windows 95 or 98.

You read my mind Bill. They'll be the first thing you see when you come up the stairs. I'm also getting a track light positioned above the row of demo units to highlight the cases. They'll be hard to miss. At least one of them (maybe all of them) will have VPC 2.0 loaded.

There's a competition among the entire retail team for iMac sales numbers. I've already let them know that I'll split my sale with anyone (Mac or PC) who refers a customer to me for an iMac. I can tell you you that they like this idea very much. It takes a lot less time to sell a single box -- than choose from an array of branded and no-name PCs, monitors, speakers, sound cards, and modems.

My job is nearly finished at CompUSA on 5th Ave. A month or two at the outside. It costs me a fortune to work there each weekend -- but to be honest, I love it when new users drop back, or call me to say what a wonderful time they're having with their new machines. I sometimes pause to consider how many Windows disasters I may have saved them from.
