Sounds to me that data warehousing software will prove to be of importance. What is the status of WebFiler and where does it fit in. The following is taken from RBCDS site. After the release of the third-quarter results, Hummingbird Communications Ltd. (HUMCF) indicated to analysts that it's closer to making an acquisition in the business intelligence or data warehousing software market. "The key with the stock is to convince the street that they will be able to enter the data warehousing area with success," DeLavergne said. "Certainly if you are a value investor the stock looks attractive at these levels." Hummingbird told analysts it wants its business intelligence unit to produce $100 million of revenue in calendar 1999, up from about $20 million to $25 million of revenue now, DeLavergne said. Seeing as calendar 1998 is already half over, DeLavergne took that to mean that Humminbird is close to a deal. "(Hummingbird) obviously has acquisitions in mind to reach that ($100 million) level," DeLavergne said.
