What he said was that he "put them up". Perhaps somebody who made a new investment wanted to control his shares in exchange for cash (somebody who was issued restricted stock) In this way they could prevent management from selling into any short term success. ..Just a thought as one way to go as it would be hard for me to imagine someone just lending money against the worthless shares . Lets say he got 6 cents (loan not cash to use as he pleases) that 6 cents is what Tom told us he was told the stock was worth about a year ago. That would only have been $54,000 with his 900,000 shares not quite enough for ???
