I spent a very enjoyable time at the Chateau Montebello,
in Montebello Quebec. The local french were great and
the food was really good, especially at the Cafe Terrasse.

An American woman I was with summed up her feelings, as
follows, "the trouble with this place is that there is
no god damn MacDonald's"

You'll have a good time there if you avoid the big city
types. Unfortunately they flock to Montebello.

over and out - aj

I really enjoy this Winspear thread, is Winspear a company?

"If you think Canadians want to go there for business or pleasure to fight restrictive language and employment regulations that guarantee you won't be able to conduct your business at a profit or your vacation without a hassle then you have another thing coming."

Eric, Eric, Eric... You spend 3 weeks a year in Quebec and you think you know how it is to do business in the province? Poor ignorant soul.
Business in Quebec is doing fine thank you. I admit we have an unemployment rate higher than the other provinces but there are historical and cultural reasons for this. Anyway, take away all the jobs created by the US automotive industry in Ontario for example and see what happens...
By the way, Quebecor and Bombardier, just to name a couple, never seemed too bothered by Quebec "restrictive" policies to reach the top of their respective industries...

Hummm... Maybe the fact that Quebec has the world's hottest pop singer and the planet's brightest astro physicist just makes you uncomfortable?! Understandable...

You also mentioned fairness?! We, Quebecers just want the right for our children and grand children to grow up speaking our language. Is that too much too ask?

You said you were slapped in the face with language ignorance many time while vacationing in the province and trying to find employment there. Tell me my what my chances would be of finding a job in Toronto if I only spoke French?
I worked in Frankfurt, I learned German.
I worked in the DR, I learned Spanish.
I worked in London I learned English... common sense no?
SO if you come to Quebec looking for a job you should maybe learn French, don't you think?

"If a European country wants tourisms trade or investment they cater to the people who will tour invest or trade. They don't hang signs saying don't bother us in your language you damned English"
Tell me one single western European country which is "linguistically" and "culturaly" threatened? None!

I think you should stick with diatremes and fissures EC
Mont-Tremblant does not need your business, heck! Come to think of it, we don't need you newsletter or you idiotic post on this thread either!
