FACILITZED is a word you will not find in any dictionary. It is the brain child of some very illiterate but rather funny Facilities Engineers and Facilities Departments within the industry. Facilities takes care of the FACILITY, meaning the brick and mortar along with the water, gas, chemical delivery, waste disposal, neutralization, DI water generation, HVAC, etal. for the Wafer Fab. Jack of all trades and supposely master of them all also<GG>.

Anyway, facilitized means anything that Facilities gets their hands on relative to the integration of equipment within a wafer fab. For example, to facilitize a stepper you would have it sitting on a vibration free surface, provide the wiring to connect the power, hook up the vacuum and Nitrogen lines from the building to the stepper, supply the environmental controls or chamber, etc.

So, every piece of equipment is considered facilitized when all the bells and whistles are connected to the brick and mortar structure of the building (or facility).

Sort of like being Vancilitized. You know the stuff you have to go through joining your brain to Silicon investor and having me inbetween occasionally like here<GGGG>.

If my English is correct, the word really should be Facilitated but it has negative connotations in my business with Facilitators who are the DEVIL INCARNATE to us. Facilitized is my second most favorite nonsensical word right behind "consideracy". Personally, I thought they fought the Union in thr Civil War. However, an agry wife will always tell you that you have no consideracy for her.
