Well, I imagine that the source code may hold additional evidence. The recipe for coke is secret only because they like to change it from time to time. They do in fact already disclose the list of ingredients on the label. As you know the several billion lines of code are a little different issue.

The more amusing argument that I heard recently was that MSFT was thinking about browsers and including it in their operating system before Netscape was even started. Kind of flies in the face of their having to purchase the Spyglass code that became IE 2.0 and beyond. With such an apparent head start that they had to play catchup. Very uncharacteristic of a company that prefers to write it in house unless they absolutely have to buy it elsewhere.

Going out to buy some beach chairs now. I'll come over for a visit when the ferry schedule gets established.
