I knew there were good reasons that I stopped practicing law, not the least of which was that I just wasn't original enough. Personally, I find it an entirely plausible explanation. Why has it taken so long to get at the crux of the matter?!! Apparently somebody, (Soros?) is going to make a run on the $real, the Brazilian currency. Tbr, which I own, and may be the world's greatest value play, will have to put off that realization for awhile. The avg. value in the privatization on 7/29 was $295 US/ share, trading today at $95, down from $127 on 7/30, and falling. The pitfalls of amateurs in emerging mkts. Best, stx
