A nasty day, to be sure. But I too was impressed by Pete's expressed determination to never, never let this happen again. He said he was being "conservative" in his future projections, but I think he's really lowballing. It happens all the time. Companies get all the bad news out of the way -- and then some -- setting up prospects for a string of positive surprises in future quarters. Nothing in the conference call or the announcement changes the company's fundamental prospects. And if web-based e-banking really signs up customers more rapidly than dial-in e-banking (as Pete said) then it means CKFR's growth rate -- eventually -- will be even more rapid than we were projecting it to be yesterday morning.
