I think it would be prudent, as you have done, to review the SEC filings regarding the Initial Public Offering for Kaire International. The filings present a complete picture of the operating history of the company, attempts to get financing, and the risks inherent in the company. In a stock, regardless of history, one is always looking forward. But, the fact is that Kaire International is a "turnaround" situation. The company, a few years ago, had gross revenue of $57 million. That has eroded substantially. There are remaining questions about the success of this effort. Even if the IPO is completed, the funds derived have an anticipated use for 12 months. The company may be in another fund raising posture thereafter. The funds are to be used to pay off debt. They are also to be used to expand marketing abroad, particularly in Korea. Korea is seriously affected by the Asian economic crisis. The company optimistically anticipates that with workers out of jobs, more people may be interested in direct marketing. But, will the economic crisis affect sales of the product? The company has potential. But, to say the obvious, one should also acquaint oneself with the risks.
