Well, now that the deal is off, you're not going to get that lone yacht. Savvy management doesn't announce a deal until it's been completely consummated. Besides the unfortunate yoyo effect on the stock price, management credibility is jeopardized for future announcements. Just a few days of patience could have prevented this foolishness.

GREAT WHITE RETRACTS YACHT CENTER DE MEXICO
ACQUISITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Waco, Texas - August 12, 1998 - Great White Marine & Recreation, Inc.
(OTC BB: TGSK) announces that it is retracting its August 11, 1998
announcement stating that Great White entered into an acquisition
agreement for the Yacht Center de Mexico, located in Puerto Vallarta,
Mexico. Great White's announcement sparked a partnership dispute
amongst the Yacht Center's partners which is preventing the proposed
acquisition from being consummated. There can be no assurances at
this time that the proposed acquisition will successfully be
completed.

Colin Smith, Great White's President and Chief Executive Officer,
stated, "We are sorely disappointed by the partners of the Yacht
Center and their lack of communication with one another. We have
spent a great deal of time working on this acquisition candidate, but
refuse to get drawn into or have or expansion plans delayed by a
partnership dispute. It is our intention to expand our sales and
distribution services into the Puerto Vallarta area - with or without
the acquisition of the Yacht Center."
