GM, The most recent canary we have for where we are in the cycle is AMAT, and neither their news nor Morgan's forecast seem encouraging. They have been seeing significant cancellations or delays in orders and no indications of new orders coming in. It was hardly a light at the end of the tunnel kind of statement. The glimmer of hope is in reports of firming DRAM prices, but even that may be ephemeral, since so many manufacturers have cut way back on inventories that they may have short term needs that don't give good indications of what future demand will be.
