Boyle:

I'm using end of day crossovers based on closing prices for my 3/13 scans... When I find the stocks I want to track, I list predetermined points of support and resistance for buy/sell decisions... I then track them real time on my broker's website... I don't do a lot of daytrading... I do more position trading and intermediate to long term investing... But, when I do daytrade, I only look at a few stocks at a time... This makes it much easier to react to real time changes...

sox is still in uptrend.. need to break 280 resistance.. then 310-320 as next resistance..

reason why im looking at index, because i want to know which sectors will move next.

banks are dead in the water.

the ma/crossover is using the end of day charting.. but, i do imagine that it will work for intraday.

in fact, i haven't tried the 3/40 ema crossover on intraday charts yet..

let me try ;))

for a 5 min chart, i like to use the 9/21 crossover.

give it a try. it also works well on exits too.

again, before i trade intraday, i look to see if the crossover works on that stock. if it doesn't, time to move on to another stock.

tried 3/40 on dell 5 min chart.. works well.

i guess it's up to the trader..

play around with it.. i think it's a good quick visual tool..

then use other indicators to confirm.
