Bad but not disastrous. Clearly a net negative flow from manufacturing operations. The DCR business seems to be under severe pressure ( from solid state? Any expert comments here?). Royalties and expense control and state tax legerdemain salve the situation. Staying afloat until acquisition tides rise.

Paul, Actually, I'm neither surprised nor disappointed with results. Confirms what we already knew: sales declining, warchest in place, good cost controls. The game plan has changed over the last two years, but I for one plan to stick around and see just what a finance whiz our beloved CEO really is! Besides, I get a warm, fuzzy feeling when I consider how much of Mr. Bramson's personal wealth is tied up in Ampex stock. Hopefully he'll pull his own fat out of the fire, and we (at least me) will be along for the ride. Time will tell....
