I2: re allocation on buy signal. I think technically you are correct as he indicated to a caller who pretty much asked that question though like everything it is a personal decision and I don't think Bob would think it wrong if after taking a big beating recently many wish to go heavier into equities than originally intended on this buying opportunity which undoubtedly many are doing. It depends on your situation and your risk tolerance for example it would be stupid for a retired person to risk throwing away critical mass but for many others I would guess that GNMA's and any excess cash has been plowed into the market and all who have done that are a lot more concerned about the consequences a crash then previously. Let's hope Bob's buy signal works so whether we have been too risky or not we will all make money

I2, Bob mentioned this weekend that he did some buying last week. If Bob has been fully invested since Jan. '91 and has been DCAing along the way, then where did he get the money to buy stocks last week?

It must have been a lateral move unless he came across a large lump some of cash recently. If he didn't come across a large lump sum of cash, what do you think he sold to buy stocks last week?

Furthermore, Bob has mentioned he has been a shareholder in AMAT, KLAC, NVLS, TER, and UTEK for many years. He has also recommended buying these stocks on any weakness throughout the Asian crisis. Where is he getting this endless pot of cash to keep buying these stocks on persistent weakness? Do you think he is violating his 4% rule?

Maybe he's increasing his equity ratio. Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket.

Best Regards.
