Agree that Ameritrade has improved quite a bit. Today I had a chance to try them out together and DATEK won this round. I had an open order at both places to short SPY @ 109 About ten minutes before the close I cancelled and replaced the order at Ameritrade with a sell short at the market, and then moved to the Datek site cancelled the open order and replaced it with a market. I was filled right away at Datek at
108 5/8 and when I went back to Ameritrade they showed the order as attempting to cancel. After what seemed like an eternity they finally filled at 108 17/32
Realize that it is risky to use a market order but really wanted to get short and SPY should be ok
