I personally do not short stocks because the risk is infinite. If I feel a stock will go down I will buy a put. At least there my loss, if I'm wrong, is limited. Regarding AOL,YHOO, and AMZN, I feel they are all vastly overvalued with AMZN perhaps being the most overpriced. I would expect that in 3-6 months most of the internet stocks will be a fraction of their present values. This is simply a hot sector at present but I would not get married to it. For those who had the good fortune to get in early it may be wise to take profits.

In any case time will tell.
