Chuzzlewit, I must admit that your posting is also odd. Everything I said in my previous posting is true. Nothing was said about daily patterns, twitches, fundamentals, etc.

However, many elements go into the making of "preceived prospects". If anything goes wrong with anyone of the elements, there goes the future earnings. What are these elements?...competition, recessions in other countries, product pricing, customer support, etc.

PS: No matter how good the future prospects are, a bear market will take the stock down...so Dell isn't immune from the current situation affecting the stock markets around the world.
