Chuzzlewit, I must admit that your posting is also odd. Everything I said in my previous posting is true. Nothing was said about daily patterns, twitches, fundamentals, etc. Regarding: <<Earnings and the perceived prospects for future earnings is one of the two major driving forces in determining stock price (the other being long-term interest rates).>> Its true that future earnings and interest rates influence the stocks future value. However, many elements go into the making of "preceived prospects". If anything goes wrong with anyone of the elements, there goes the future earnings. What are these elements?...competition, recessions in other countries, product pricing, customer support, etc. Don't you agree? Stock Bull PS: No matter how good the future prospects are, a bear market will take the stock down...so Dell isn't immune from the current situation affecting the stock markets around the world.
