HML04, thanks for the explanation. Well, actually, mine was a sloppy observation [well, twice tonite already, I am on a roll <VBG>] The day I looked at the WEBS was the day HK hit a 4 year low. However, since the WEBS didn't make it to even an one year low, I made the conclusion that the two don't correspond.

Not knowing other countries, I can only make some circumstantial arguments against buying large # of stocks by the brushels <G> with respect to the HK market. It is ladden with property tie-in stocks and with its RE market still in the tailspin, I think selectivity is the key. For example, while I did not track HKT in the last 2 days, it was above its one year support level when HK clang to the 7,000 level.
