Your point overlooks the possibility that they want to be called at a net of $36 per share. With all due respect and honesty, your philosophy in regards to the merits of writing covered calls needs some serious revision. It is exactly the scenario I have proposed that would clearly explain why Goldman was doing what they were doing last week. I'm not trying to take shots at you on this. But my logic is undeniably accurate in this regard. I don't know how long you've been following my posts on this subject, but go back and read the full context if you haven't done so. Regards, LoD
