Paul: Could you tell me where you got the numbers of mutual fund holdings. You said that the mutual fund holders were 367 in last week and 373 in this week. This week had only three days passed and left two days to go. Did your source mentioned how many shares each fund is currently holding? Do the number include the hedge funds? My sources only supply the informations of institutional holders quarterly. I will appreciate your sharing your weekly sources to me. Thanks in advance.

I will be very surprised if mutual funds aren't exiting AMAT after the earnings and cc. Mutual fund performance is measured over the short term and there is nothing good for semi-equips in the short term. September will start AMAT consolidation so excess buildings can be subleased, expect a layoff within a month, probably the week of Aug. 24. New building construction is being delayed and postponed to conserve cash to weather the slump that has no end in sight. We are going down hard before things improve I think.
