chas--

insane is the right word, but you gotta love it.

the aug est is an airball they wont hit. it will take a tumble, then in the 20s these guys will start loading up on the prospect of nov being a blowout. they might actually pull it off, but we need a way of knowing...robbie stephens gave us that...

IF, and this is a big IF, prices do not erode too much, MU will have costs down to around 7 on a 64Mb chip(5 is the limit on their DUV equipment or something to that effect). what we need to do is keep a weekly track of pricing...larry, you were always great at keeping tabs on that kind of stuff. i still remember the great job you used to do on our earnings estimates<G>....that way, we can average and try to build an ASP model.

it wont take too long to stuff the channels, so this reinflation on pricing may not last too much longer. but, just in case it does, lets see if we can beat the people we endlessly deride<G>.

i can tell you this though, if i see MU below 23 in the near term with things still pretty stable, i will be buying LOTS of calls. see, i am not nearly as talented as david and larry when it comes to trading MU. i buy when it is so obvious that you simply can not miss it<G>.

sure, i may only get 2 shots a year, but those two shots can make me enough money to live off for a couple of years, and with relatively little stress. i would hate to see what some traders spend on zantac prescriptions<G>.

good luck to all,
trey
