<<Am I missing some LLTC news?>>

You are aware that the September quarter will fall 10 to 15% below the June quarter and that overall, Fiscal 99 will only grow by 10% over Fiscal 98 at best, even if optimistic outlooks for order recovery and the worldwide economy come to pass?

Regards, Don

As already noted here, revenues and earnings are expected to drop 10-15%. That should spell a lower price for several months. Still, LLTC was pretty strong following the announcement, after the initial drop. Technical indicators I look at on TeleChart indicate that there has been steady selling since then even though the price has held up. The selling lessened a little today but is still there.

I'm just trying to avoid my usual mistake of jumping in on something as soon as it looks good. It often gets to look better after I buy it.

I also want to test pg's rule of thumb, on this thread, of buying LLTC at 100x next Q's earnings, which would be approx $56 now, down from $62. I am guessing that we could see LLTC at $55-56 with the Dow at 8100-8300, and that seems to be within sight these days.

Who knows what will happen, but I'm 40% in cash and waiting for $55-56 on LLTC or $31-32 on CPQ in the near future.
