alien,

I can top that soooo easily.

Take a look at ICIX.

Book value -$5.40

Last quarter's earnings -$1.96
Prior quarter -$2.31

estimated 1998 earnings -$8.92

estimated 1999 earnings -$7.26

I probably shouldn't use the word "earnings"

Stock trades in the $35.00 to $45.00 range.

Maybe if Vivus could try to lose more money we then might see a share price increase back into the $30 to $40 range. They need to lose over $1.00 per quarter and change their book value to a negative figure.

Just goes to show you that the only way you can make a buck is by figuring out exactly how a stocks price will be manipulated. Screw the fundamentals and screw the earnings. Take a Viagra and drop dead. Nothing seems to matter much these days.

12 million shares shorted, and correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't VVUS have ... No wait, I' don't want to sound like a moron. I'll come back to that point later.

Sounds to me like the war drums are starting to beat around
"Camp Pfizer". I think that the guy who started to mention the dreaded "Class Action" was dead on (get it??). With all these people dropping dead over Viagra, the laws suits will eventually start flying. It never fails, that's the good-old American Way. And rumor mongering works both ways... doesn't it SHORTS. And the way I see it, what got us down here to 5 was Pfizer propaganda turned into reality. I think we're in the propaganda phase again only against Viagra this time.

How long til reality sets in?

The line in the sand has been drawn in the minds of most analysts. MUSE & VIAGRA can't coexists.
Not my feelings, albeit. But apparently that's the cold hard truth. Thus the continuial shorting of VVUS, and our wretched stock price.

Hey, I know people on Viagra. They tell me it works great. They only complain about a sort of hang-over the next day, a drained feeling. But one guy I know in his early thirties is starting to have difficulty with his eye sight. Only in the three month he's been on Viagra, never before in his life. (Honest, I'm not kidding)

And then there's the stories of people meeting their untimely demise.

So, obviously it ain't for everyone as once thought.
So, What's bad for Viagra, is good for...well, its F*@&in' Great for us.

The storm's cumin folks (get it?),
I think VLAD "The Impailer" (get it?) is right on this one.

At the very least, the bad press will be very difficult to counter.
At best, If the Governmental agencies or Medical societies strike at Viagra, the sky's the limit.
