" I think Anger, jealousy, insecurity are imperfections when it comes to a deity. Maybe I give God too much credit to assume perfection, but I dont think so."

Save these words, Mark, they will be very humorous after you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
These words indicate a profound haughtiness and poverty of heart and mind that is a symptom of our fallen nature coupled with our materialistic age of "reason" and "rationalism". You have become the judge of God and his attributes. Don't you think it's more appropriate for God and his words to judge you, rather than you judging him?
The words are flippant and reveal a lack of understanding. I made similar statements in my days of athesism and Unitarianism.

Emile

Dear Mar,
I understand what you mean about God and have felt the same before but then when I was reading Job and God asked him some questions that none of us could ever answer I realised that we can not even comprehend perfection. We think it is perfect to have compassion on murderers but God knows why he did it and what should be done for them in this life and the next one with true love. I guess it comes down to a verse in Isaiah for me, God says; As far as the heavens are above the earth (farther than we can comprehend)are my ways above your ways. So if He says to me Nancy I have given you my son as an atonement for you I say Great for if you think I need it I will agree for you are have so much more knowledge than me that I can not question your council. When I can answer even one of the questions He gave to Job then I could consider myself worthy to question His decisions for me. Can any of us tell Him how the earth was formed, or how a goat knows it is time to give birth to her young, or how the planets are held in perfect order? So we have to ask Him with a humble heart to show us the truth and trust He can and will do so. There seems to me from scripture to be an enemy of God named satan that God created and by hurting us He hurts God so that is how I understood the destruction of anyone. Satan is said to stand before God accusing men all the time. He says something like You are a God of integrity so how can you allow them to do these things (just like a prosecuting attorney) so God sent His son to cover us and says they are under mercy from the blood of my son. His order is strong enough to hold the Universe together and satan knows that so he challenges God continually. When the man shot at us I asked my kids why they thought he did this. My younger son said the man wanted to hurt God and knew if he hurt us it would hurt God. As usual with children I was humbled at his answer.
Have a great day,
Nancy
