In light of the announced BP merger with AN, CNBC is reporting that a number of analysts are suggesting that TX might be an attractive target. If something like this is in the works, it would explain the footdragging on the RNTK deal. Any merger deal involving TX would undoubtedly result in significant delays in finalizing any deal.

My personal belief is that if TX is going to join forces, RD is the obvious partner.
