Good (I hope) morning President Red and all you fellow underlings. Yes Red, you're just a housewife and we're all the "little people" the talking heads like to talk about. The guest host, Ron Muhlenkamp, runs a very well respected, relatively small fund from, I think, the Pittsburgh area. Seems I've read he rides a Harley and is boss of a volunteer fire department. S&P gives his fund its highest rating. You don't hear as much from the guest hosts as you would like because of all the extraneous stuff. Speaking of substitute hosts, what was wrong with having Kernen do it all week? Do it like Monday which I mentioned yesterday. I like to hear from these money managers who have to back up their stock recommendations with performance. You get more useful information. Spontaneity must be a true terror to the people who run these shows. Script everything down to the second. On being able to lighten up, you see differences in people all the way from local stations to the networks. Something goes wrong, maybe the camera doesn't cut away when it should. Some, like Haines, are not bothered at all and may just yell at the producer to tell him what the hell is going on. Others get that tense, deer looking into the headlights look. Get ready for what Abby says at 10:30. It will move the markets one way or the other. She's been right so long it becomes sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Sandy
