David; What I'm trying to say is if it goes to 7000, it won't
stop there, and you will likely get your 4000

David, I agree 7000 is nothing. 4000, IMO, would be downright grizzly. :-) But, you want to see extreme, read "High Anxiety" in this weeks "Bearon's". Presenting the cases of four "market gurus", they put Abby the Bull against probably the three most bearish "gurus" they could find, two of whom seemed to be included only to make the bearish camp look ridiculous.

The respectable bear they included was Dr. Ed (Yardeni) who sees potential for "a market meltdown in three to six months", but he gives no targets in the article. The other two included Bob Prechter and P.Q.Wall, both of whom are calling for Dow 1000 - that's one thousand - in the next 5-6 years. (Prechter also says below 4000 by this December)

Most of the article (75%) was a presentation of Abby Cohen's bullish case, however, with Dr. Ed getting considerably less space and the token nut cases getting a paragraph each. Can the bull's still call it "Bearon's"?
