[offtopic] Dear Zeev - the scary thought is that there are cos dumb enough to commit floorless or quasi-floorless even though they are not in dire financial needs. Of course, still, shame on me for investing in inept managements who would do something stupid as that. I mean, if they are back against the wall, at least, one could construct a sympathetic scenario, but causing massive dilution with no apparent reasons is hard to swallow. But then, it surely is a cheap way to take the co private <SG>!

best, Bosco

Zeev: I was glad to see the explanation that floorless means that they can't get conventional financing. If I see a company issuing convertibles, is this a danger sign? Is their a possibility of getting a brief overvue of what to look out for (floorless) when doing an analysis of a stock?

Thanks Dennis

For practical matters the floor is a bid of $1, owners of preferred stock would not convert if they didn't feel they could get more than what they converted for. Common owners would not want the stock to fall below a bid of $1 and get delisted.
So all longs including MM's with a large stake in RNTK would not want a bid of less than $1.
