William,

Great idea for a thread. Good luck.

I've got one of my own, and it features a short-term trading system that over the last 14 weeks of real-time trading, not including alot of paper-trading before that, has generated a 32% return. I hold my positions for between 1 and 4 weeks, and have been averaging 80% winners. I trade the big issues, and only those with strong upward momentum.

I call my system, Befriend the Trend. I've just posted a series of explanatory posts, so a quick visit will give you an idea of how my system works.

Go to "Market Trends" and click on "Befriend the Trend Trading". Hope to see you there! Meanwhile, I'm bookmarking yours.

Good luck, TC.

Thanks, I really appreciate your taking time to explain this to me. I do have an on-line broker to try this with. I think I'll take a dip before I dive right in.

Bill,

Who makes the rule that you can't short a stock within 30 days of its IPO. Someone on another thread said they shorted GCTY today, I called him on it, and he said you could do it. I was just wondering, thanks in advance, and your posts are great.

Good luck to all.
