Accent Announces First Localization Tool
for Localizing MultiMedia Content With
Macromedia Director(TM)

PR Newswire - August 17, 1998 08:16

L@Port(TM) for Director Simplifies Multimedia Content Translation
Into Other Languages

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Accent
Software International, Ltd., (Nasdaq: ACNTF; ACNUF) announced
today the availability of L@Port for Director, an add-on to
Macromedia's Director program that allows for all of the multimedia
content to be bundled and translated into other languages and then
reintegrated to create a localized version of the Director Movie. This
new Director Xtra allows developers easier access to the international
marketplace. The Xtra is available from Accent's web site at
www.accentsoft.com and from Macromedia's web site at
www.macromedia.com.

"Multimedia content is some of the most difficult content to localize
into other languages," stated Bob Antoniazzi, Accent's Vice President
of Marketing. "L@Port for Director extracts audio, video, graphics and
text multimedia content and sends it to Accent's translation server
where it is converted into a different language and then is sent back and
automatically reintegrated to create a new localized version."

"By using L@Port for Director, our customers can easily make
international applications in Director," stated William Schulze, product
manager Director team. "The L@Port approach allows our creative
customers to focus on their local language for content and still address
the global marketplace."

L@Port for Director is an Xtra that is integrated with the Director
program. Mulitmedia content is extracted, translated and reintegrated.
A projected translation cost is developed and then submitted to the
customer for approval. Upon approval the content is translated. The
Xtra is available from both companies web sites and will be
distributed with future releases of Director.
