Jim, Re: My point was that CompUSA is hardy ant indication on how AMD is doing.

"Based on reports from pricewatch ventors I suspect that the K6 complex is VERY popular"

I would say both means nothing. Let's wait for the result.

Jim,

Good news,

Intel has announced spot shortages on PII. They implied it is demand related and not mfg. related.

I have bought into AMD as I think they will benefit most this quarter from this demand increase.

Thanks for all your posts on the subject.

Regards,

Kash

McMoron,
Re -- My point was that CompUSA is hardy ant indication on how AMD is doing.

You mean it doesn't suit your purpose as AN indicator.

Re -- make or break Q.

Nope, I suspect AMD will scrape thro this Q with a loss of some $19 million. Its next Q when the creditors noose will tighten.
