I am surprised that some of the Medix investors are just now finding out that ProxyMed is the leading electronic prescription and lab order processing company in the market today. Proxymed has been providing electronic prescription services in physician offices for over 5 years. Last year they purchased the IBM Prescribe System which is installed in all the Walgreen Pharmacies and many others. They have some 20,000 installations in the U.S. I wonder if they also secretly acquired access to Berman's intellectual idea's. By the way there are over 20 such companies currently marketing their "electronic medical record" products to the physician community and have been doing so for several years. And yes, there are very well defined ways to create a VPN and still utilize the Internet as a backbone "not a real big secret" as CyMedix Lynx. One would also think that if a public company such as MDIX is publishing that they have "Patent Pending" technology you should also expect to be able to find that "patent pending" filing at the U.S. Patent office ?

MG,

Too bad you're folding up the tent. But to allow ProxyMed to be the reason why?
