Paunch, That is fine. My point was what if I had an unlisted number and didn't want anyone to have it, what then? Well I wouldn't be able to get information on my potential future investment or current investment. If I keep my shares in street name because I don't want companies to have my address then that should be respected as my decision. Of course that is not the case with me but it definitely would be if I were rich and didn't want solicitations. Besides that I didn't realize it was a required information. No I won't except this totalitarian attitude from anyone. They are responsible to us not us to them.
