NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Energy futures rallied Thursday after news
that Saudi Arabia will cut its oil exports by 18 percent, or approximately
1.1 million barrels, in September. The reduction will help boost the price
of oil, which recently fell near a 10-year low.

Separately, flooding in China may reduce oil
output there, reducing world supplies.

Traders also continue to focus attention on
heightened tension between the U.N. and Iraq
after Iraqi officials stopped a U.N. arms inspection
team. On the New York Mercantile Exchange,
September crude oil rose 61 cents to $13.32 a
barrel, September unleaded gasoline rose 1.58
cents to 42.25 cents a gallon and September
heating oil rose 1.17 cents to 35.3 cents a gallon.
