I was basically a Commodore user(I started on a VIC 20!! Wow!) and moved to the Amiga. Well, that was a nice computer at that time.
I just found that I was able to get up and running with a PC as well as the software alot cheaper. Our computer room has two PCs networked together and I have already purchased most of the graphic software. So, since I'm a freelancer right now, I would have to go work for a studio that has Macs and get paid a good salary, and then I will buy myself a MAC. Remember, I am married to a man who laughed at me when I first bought some Apple stock :-(
It doesn't make a difference I can do my work on either platform, and don't get caught up in the "which is better" wars. My work speaks for itself.
I forsee myself getting one of the upcoming faster MACs, but probably not this year. I have to console myself with the stock right now.
However, I want to get back into Pixar again...it's an artist thing!!!
