I guess that some must believe that ProxyMed has had its head in the sand for the last few years while these other potential competitors build new products and services and take their market away. Since ProxyMed was the first electronic prescription provider I am sure they have learned many lessons and developed a number of high profile business relationships. With the introduction of the public internet it did not take very much imagination to determine that this would provide a low cost communications and WAN for many different business services. I am sure with ProxyMed's recent acquisitions they have some interesting stuff going on. If not they wasted a lot of their stockholders value.

Synetic - Has been under development with a division "Avicenna" (Avicenna.com) which is being ran by Marty Wygod formulary COO of Medico. Marty sold his Medco venture stock for $500mil and started Avicenna which he then turned around and did a JV with Synetic as a future public vehicle. Avicenna had previously purchased "Care Agents" which had an internet development initiative for the development of internet health care services.

Healtheon - Jim Clark - and everyone knows what that means. They have already spent 70mil. (not that spending 70mil. and still only one Calif. Clinic installation. But Jim has Wall Street and enough money to take it to market in a big way and buy his way there as needed. Planning a public offering in the next few months. Goldman Sacks

Avaton - coming soon -

Endeavor Tech. - Atlanta (planning public offering) Owned by Atlanta based telco. deep pockets

We could go on and on listing a number of other entities that have similar plans and products. Even Harvard has developed a very "cool" electronic medical record system - they even publish their specs. on their medical web site and plan to license to the medical community ?

Eli Lilly has dumped 37mil in Heathpoint over the last 7 years

CliniData Spent $25mil. and went out of business last fall.

I think if you look closely at MDIX it becomes obvious what kind of Gig they have going and you are right no one should be surprised.

I don't really have any initive here but just thought this interesting and have kinda looking in to see what is up.

it seems the parade has been pretty well doused already....
Falling from .75 to .09 is a pretty rainy few months, more like a monsoon.

I would rather have seen a reverse split... at least the float would make it attractive to daytraders, and there would be a glimmer of a possibility of a profit here....

The parade has passed by.....
