Ron,

That's ludicrous !! You can't make a statement like that without backing it up with some facts. Every news item posted on this thread speaks about either a take-over rumor or the fact that an analyst re-affirmed a buy recommendation.

I'd respect your opinions if you back them up.

Cheers,

Peppe

Newbridge backed by Morgan

Newbridge Networks Inc. (NN) gained ground on positive comments from J.P. Morgan.
Analyst William Rabin said he is "cautiously optimistic" after meeting with Alan Lutz, the
company's new president and chief operating officer. Rabin said that if Lutz can execute his
financial goals for the company, the stock price could see significant upside. Shares advanced
1 5/8 to 22 3/4.

Newbridges is up because of MCI selling concert(spelling).

I think you may be right. They're selling to BT who in turn may partner with AT&T for U.S. contracts. NN has contracts with both. Talk about the cat who ate the canary. :)

<<Newbridge is up because of MCI selling Concert>>

This comment smells so high and full of nutrients I could shovel it on to my prize winning roses. AT&T are a Big Cisco and Ascend Frame/ATM/IP customer, BT are a large Cisco IP customer (Largest by far in the UK) and also have Ascend Switches besides the presence of Newbridge in BT (at least). Given the recent comments in interviews about their new collective network being very IP focused, I somehow doubt there's gonna be a huge pot of gold at the end of the one billion dollar rainbow for Newbridge.
