I have to agree with Craig also. I think the officers of ANCR are kinda in a no-win situation vis-a-vis purchasing. If they DIDN'T buy anything, imagine how irate everyone here would be. If they bought a lot, well, we'd all attribute "hidden knowledge" to the purchase (not to mention that they all have a lot of money tied to options, meaning that unlike us, they profit on price movement even without buying shares right now). Finally, if the officers buy just some, as they have done, they are viewed as not endorsing the company.

Frankly, Ken spending 10K of his own money to buy stock in the open market sends a message to me that he believes in the company AND he wants to re-assure stockholders, at least a bit. No one got to be rich by spending $10,000 for no good reason. It just doesn't happen. The fact that three major officers bought shares sends a message to me that, at worst, they don't beleive they're going out of business. At best, they think they're gonna make some good money.

just my 2 cents

Enter me on the unimpressed side of the ledger re: insider purchases.
I really don't understand Snyder's purchase. He doesn't hold that many options. I would think he should have more than $1,000 lying around to invest.
