Brian, sales would not have to fall to $600,000,000 to produce earnings of 0.13, because the 8% net margin would not be maintained unless they laid off 75% of the work force and reduced fixed costs by 75%. Could they really shrink the company that fast? Would you want to invest in it if they did?

Nevertheless, it seems to me that the downside estimates are starting to take on the same air of unreality as the upside estimates did in the fall of '97.
