I hear (rim inside) that IBM would never buy SYBS.

BTW, It is strange that from 12:30 to 12:50 all the trades were done at the bid (5 1/2), and yet they moved up the bid!!

Yes, even I would be bullish on SYBS as a takeover candidate if they weren't so arrogant. If IBM were to make them a reasonable offer they wouldn't take it. They still think they are coming back. After 4 years they haven't figured it out. Alone, they're dead.

An IBM acquisition of SYBS would be a good thing for both of them and a bad thing for IFMX. Only leaves the Borg for IFMX.

view, IBM bought Lotus too. Seems their long term plans do place MSFT in their sights and they don't have an NT database. Wake up.
