I'm skeptical, but I just can't make the pieces fit. Sure, SRGN made lots of mistakes and in a lot of ways, they didn't know what they were doing. Lots of small startups don't because you are dealing with scientists becoming managers in a sink or swim fashion. But LGND has a *seasoned* team running things so I tend to give them a little more credit and assume they do know what they are doing. Hell, part of it is probably wishful thinking too :-(

SRGN was really in bad shape. To a large extent, it was a university owned company and that is not a good thing to be from what I have seen.
