This is the same question that the below referenced article from yesterday asks.

However, while the article questions how AOL future will unfold over the long term, for me, the more important and immediate issue is AOL's less than conservative accounting practices. Once the SEC resolves and announces its decision on AOL's accounting treatment of acquisitions, sales of companies, and R & D, we could see an extensive drop in AOL's price.
