The Wall Street journal today reports:

"Verdict Against Cigarette Maker For $1 Million Appears Invalidated" on page B7.

The article sure made it sound like the verdict was more than just "thrown into question." "Several legal experts said the decision effectively wiped out the June 10 verdict..."

I really don't like it when the press runs ahead of itself, and then has to back up. Has anyone seen CNBC's report on the appeal, if there was one? Rarebird posted on this thread that:

CNBC seems to have blown the story. Joe Kernan claims the AP reported that the Industry did not win on appeal. We'll have to wait for further clarification after the close. (https://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=5490162)

What's the deal here?
