Well, darn, Denice. And I was just trying to understand your post. BTW, I don't know of many guys who accuse women of trying to twist a guy's comments into something more complex. But to twist them into something completely different ... well, now, that's different. For example, here is a real conversation from my past: me: Hi, Hon. Happy Birthday. I got you this watch... her: It's gold. You know I just put silver highlights in my hair. What are you trying to say, anyway? That I'm always late and need to have a watch so YOU won't have to wait? Why are you always criticizing me? Boo hoo. me: um, I'm sorry, I didn't mean... golly sweety, I just wasn't thinking ... I'll take it back ... would you like to go out for dinner... That was years ago. The conversation would be a bit different now. And, much shorter. heh, heh. Sire, you listening? jim

Interesting schedule on TV tonight. Fits this thread perfectly. At 8pm ET. on ESPN there's a football game. When I read this I thought, all the men should give their wives the credit card and let her go shopping for 3 hours. From 8pm to 11pm ET. But then I see at 9pm ET. on ABC there is a program about SHOPPING. That's right, SHOPPING. What genius came up with this schedule? I will quote directly from the TV Guide about the shopping show: ".....offering consumer tips for purchasing products such as cars, antiques and clothes". I expect at about 8:59 pm ET. there will be wrestling matches over the remote control all over the country.
