Similarities between OAKT and CREAF?

It seems that Wall st has decided that both of these companies deserve to trade at or below Cash.

How can this happen to successful high tech companies?

If you think CREAF looks "to good to be true" than wind back your watches and review what happened to ESST and OAKT over the last year. you'll find that CREAF still has a little ways to go before it catches its less favoured cousins.

OK but what about new products?

I've looked closely at the products and future products of all three and concluded that they'll all be players in basically the same markets, margins will than depend on competitive forces within the segments. HUH? In other words i don't know who will end up making the money but all will be playing into the same end equipment segments and therefore see the same opportunities.

CREAF has the big plus that they have a strong brand name and a developed retail chain. What I fear is that this will be difficult to leverage if Intel has it way and seals the PC (i.e. NO PCI plug-ins)
A lot of the smart money is already betting that PCI Audio gets replaced before it ever takes off. Replaced by what?

At the moment two contenders are fighting it out. They are USB and 1394. USB Audio was just enabled by Windoze 98 and could be huge, that's assuming 1394 can be stopped for just a year or two.

Both USb and 1394 offer all the features of a plug-in-card without having to remove the cover, also both offer extended plug-n-play features PCI cards can't dream to match.

If PCi cards disappear than what future does CREAF have? I would guess that this uncertanity is responsible for driving CREAF's stock into the dirt.

I like the idea of CREAF specializing in only High-End products, unfortunately High-End sound cards is not that great a business, after all Ensoniq dumped the High-end to focus on main stream because of the small TAM of the high-end.

Anyway, I'm real interested in hearing from all you CREAF bull's
