Andrew,

There would be heavy volume ahead of the announcement. I just don't see news coming on a Friday.

More like a Monday or Tuesday. If heavy volume on Friday, it will have to hold on Monday to be a true sign of things to come.

Question; With approx. 5 million more shares since the last "run up"
that represents about 16 % dilution. So can it be said that the next "run up" will be approx. 16 % less than last time assuming same type of buying? Last run to $3 11/32.

(16% x 3 11/32 = .535 less last run up. So, 3.34 - .535 = 2.81)

So would it be at least $ 2.81 on the news assuming news had up-front cash and/or equity stake?

I hear some moron is comparing RNTK soon news to SGII news of today,,

What a moron indeed,,,

That's all we need more morons to crawl on the back of RNTK ..

For I 've known this stock for over 2 years now..

Andrew, It is my understanding that the matter lies in TX hands. It depends on them how long it will take. They want RNTK and we will hope that the signatures won't take long now can't we..

SGII although similar is not like RNTK. Since 1 million shares went off last Friday, obviously many know about RNTK. I'd rather think you will see action on RNTK. In fact for the sake of argument check the last few Fridays. This time I think you may be wrong. It is time... and soon. S

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, creeps in this petty pace from day to day, to the last syllable of recorded time; and all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

But wait! I gaze beyond from where I stand cloaked within this solitude, and behold, there are messengers in gaily colored garb, the likes of which are foreign to these jaded eyes; and all my hopes, customs abandoned, rise anew with fresh visions of signatures gleaming in yon firmament, contracts lighting up this sterile promontory of a thread, and gaseous elements, and abandoned bottoms transform before these eyes into gilded liquid fortunes thought long lost. Behold my heart! I question now, could it truly be, has diligence and patience met its due reward?

......Macbeth getting groovy on RNTK (or something)

Andrew, IMHO, I agree delays are to be expected. Hope they sign soon but they may not.

How many times have you seen stocks go high on rumor, then lower on the news?

Maybe the case here. Depending upon the wording of the deal, Rentech may not see any money from Texaco for a long time. Or they may see some instant revenue....

Does anyone have any insight into the "parameters" of the deal? Surely someone on this board has the contacts. Is Rentech licensing the technology? What is the exclusivity of the license? When and how will Texaco begin renumerating Rentech for the licensed technology?

Just having a deal won't be enough. The fine print will dictate where the stock goes from here.

I can imagine a scenario where Texaco licenses the technology, doesn't use it because the cost to convert the bottoms isn't covered by energy prices. And Rentech sees no short term cash flows because renumeration is tied to use.... In this case the deal won't mean much and we slide back to .75 or lower
